Forex Weekly Outlook: Jun 18 - Jun 23

United States: No relevant data is up for Monday (as usual). FOMC Dudley is due to speak at 12:00 GMT. Upcoming speeches from Fed officials will be on the watch as policymakers will offer their opinion on the future of interest rates and the plan to unwind the balance sheet.


Europe: German producer price index for May is due at 06:00 GMT, with a forecasted decline of 0.2 percent. In the prior reading, prices notched up by 0.4 percent.

United States: The Bureau of Economic Analysis is set to publish the current account for the first quarter of this year at 12:30 GMT. Also, attention will be directed to speeches from FOMC members Stanley Fisher at 12:00 GMT and Robert Kaplan at 19:00 GMT.

Asia: The Bank of Japan will present its monetary policy meeting minutes as of 23:50 GMT. While the Japanese regulator did not raise or modify its current monetary configuration recently, it could provide some clarity on future plans.


United States: Existing homes sales for May are set for release as of 14:00 GMT, with 5.60 million units eyed. Half an hour later, the US Energy Information Administration will release each weekly report on refined products and crude stockpiles for the week on June 16.


Europe: The European Central Bank will publish its Economic Bulletin at 08:00 GMT. This report will be eyed as it provides with relevant information on current and future economic conditions, and interest rates. In Britain, CBI Industrial Trends Orders for June are due at 10:00 GMT.


Europe: Markit Economics is expected to release preliminary manufacturing and services in Germany at 07:30 GMT, with expectations at 59.0 and 55.5 respectively. The same reports, plus the composite PMI will be out at 08:00 GMT for the Eurozone.

United States: Preliminary readings on manufacturing and services PMIs from Markit are due as of 13:45 GMT. New home sales for May are set to be released at 14:00 GMT. Baker Hughes will also be presenting its latest oil rig count at 17:00 GMT.
